Travelling through some of Perth’s most beautiful residential areas along the Swan River, we continue towards the Indian Ocean. Our next destination is Fremantle, where historic buildings preserve the charm of the colonial era. This vibrant port city is renowned for its harmonious blend of culture, maritime history and entertainment.

Enjoy the short ferry crossing to Rottnest Island, where you will explore independently without a WA NT TOURS guide. With its crystal-clear waters and pristine beaches, the island features rugged coastlines, limestone cliffs, salt lakes and picturesque secluded bays. Whether you explore on foot or aboard the Island Explorer Bus, you will encounter Rottnest Island’s unique flora and fauna—and, of course, its famous quokkas.

Guests who selected pickup from Perth City will enjoy a scenic cruise along the Swan River back to Perth. Along the way, take in impressive views of the riverside scenery and the city’s exclusive residential neighbourhoods. Upon arrival in Perth City, you will make your own way back to your hotel.

Guests who selected pickup from Fremantle will return to Fremantle by ferry from Rottnest Island. Upon arrival in Fremantle, you will make your own way back to your hotel. The Swan River cruise is not included with the Fremantle pickup option.
